Ethics and AI in Nutrition Research: A Practical Approach

Dr. Zeynep Begüm Kalyoncu Atasoy completed her BSc degree at the Dept. of Nutrition and Dietetics of Hacettepe University (Ankara, Türkiye) in 2010. Then, she obtained her MSc degree on Health Food Innovation Management from Maastricht University (Netherlands) with UM High Potential Scholarship in 2012. She received her PhD degree from the Dept. of Nutrition and Dietetics of Hacettepe University in 2018 (Ankara, Türkiye). During her doctoral studies she worked as a full-time lecturer at Ozyegin University, Dept. of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts for three years and then as a visiting researcher at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Dept. of Nutrition for one year with Fulbright scholarship. After that, she worked as an assistant professor at the Nutrition and Dietetics Department of Atilim University (Ankara) from 2019 till 2021, where she served as the head of the department. She was the vice-president of Turkish Dietetic Association from 2019 till 2022. She is currently working as an assistant professor at the Nutrition and Dietetics Department of Aydin University, Istanbul and a member of EFAD European Specialist Dietetic Networks for Public Health, representing Türkiye. She has been working as a principal investigator and researcher in different research projects with multiple stakeholders. Her field of expertise are “nutrition and dietetics” and “public health nutrition”. Dr. Kalyoncu Atasoy loves traveling and is currently on her last semester of Tourism Guiding masters program and aiming to be certified as a tour guide.
